 During the busy Turkish summer months, hotels in the town of Bodrum soon fill up and accommodation is at a premium, particularly during the weekends. Therefore, if you haven't booked your lodging, do make sure that you arrive early in the morning.
Pensions (traditional guesthouses) are a good alternative to mainstream hotels in Bodrum, although package deals are often amongst the cheapest options. If you are looking for accommodation during the winter season, you will find that only a handful of hotels actually choose to stay open, since this is a very quite time of the year in the town, despite lodging rates being discounted.

When you are choosing where to stay in Bodrum, it is important to consider a number of factors. How close your accommodation is to the main nightclubs is always essential, if you are hoping for a peaceful location. Bodrum is well known for its vibrant and energetic nightlife, with many leading nightspots being concentrated around both the eastern and western bays.
The clubs don't really start filling up until midnight, so the adjacent streets can often be a little noisy at times. If your Bodrum hotel is close to the clubs, it may be worth requesting a room towards to back of the building, or one with air-conditioning, so that you won't need to open your window during the warm summer nights.
 The cheapest hotels in Bodrum tend to be located around the Outer Harbour area, on the southerly side of the castle. Pensions accommodation is especially cheap here, due to the proximity of nightspots such as the Halikarnas Disco. Alternatively, those on a budget should consider the camping grounds around the northerly shore of the Bodrum Peninsula. Backpacker lodging is also available along the Araplar Sokak, the Ataturk Caddesi and the Turkkuyusu Caddesi.
For luxury accommodation in Bodrum, the Antik Tiyatro Hotel on the Kibris Sehitle Caddesi is one of the best, boasting beautiful views across the seafront and famous castle. The nearby holiday destination known as the Hapimag Resort Sea Garden also deserves a mention.
